Magpie River expedition

 

The Magpie River is another splendor of the Quebec Côte-Nord. Contrary to its sister the Moisie, the Magpie is a sporting river including rapids from Class I to V, from impracticable ones to splendid falls.
This river is for thrill seeking adventurers.
At 65 km from the shore, we will be jettisoned by seaplane. Far from all civilization, adventurers will navigate 167 meters of semi-rough course from the 55 km of bubbling rapids. This River is rated one of the top 10 best rivers in North America for the wild water challenge!

Itinerary :
Day 1 : Côte Nord: Breakfast. Equipment weighting for the departure in seaplane. Explanation of safety procedures and paddle techniques. It’s now time for the great departure! Lunch on the river.
Day 2-5 : Côte-Nord: Each day, the adventure follows the watercourse. Sometimes in a relaxing mode, other at a breakneck speed. One thing remains: each day that passes will have superb landscapes, adrenalin, and privileged encounters with the wildest environment. The day will end by supper on a wood burning fire, and sleeping in the wilderness.
Day 6 : Côte-Nord: Back to civilization, we’ll end the Magpie adventure at the beginning of the afternoon.
